Financial Data Reporting Strategies

This session will provide an overview of strategies that can be used for financial planning and reporting.  The ideal attendee would be those individuals that are responsible for generating budgets and reports to assist with decision making and monitoring of projects or initiatives with a financial impact.  Topics include: Identifying business questions and incorporating into financial planning and reporting; Items to consider when setting up new budgets for anticipated recurring or non-recurring expenditures from an all funds perspective; How to structure data so that you can get the reports that are needed down the road; Setting up a budget and reporting actuals against that budget.

To register, log in to the EBS Portal, click on the "My Career and Training" tab (top of window), and then click on the "Courses for Employees at MSU" tile.  Next, enter "Reporting" in the search box on the left side of the screen, and click "Find".  Select "Financal Data Reporting Strategies" and register for a session. Classes are held in the Nisbet building, Room 10.
