Payments to Non-U.S. Citizens and Vendors

This virtual session will provide key information about making payments to non-U.S. vendors and individuals.  The primary focus of the course is on identifying and making payment to vendors providing services to MSU.  Topics include:

  1. Identifying non-U.S. citizens and foreign vendors.  We'll cover what forms need to be completed, and how to complete the forms.
  2. Common types of visas used by visitors to MSU, and what types of payments are allowable.
  3. Nonresident Alien Professional Services Contracts.
  4. Documentation required on the Disbursement Voucher in order to make payment.

To register, log in to the EBS Portal, click on the "My Career and Training" tab (top of window), and then click on the "Courses for Employees at MSU" tile.  Next, enter "Payments" in the search box on the left side of the screen, and click "Go".  Select "Payments Non-US Citizens and Vendors" and register for one of the sessions.
