EBS Financial System Orientation

Onboarding for employees new to financial roles.  Not for experienced financial system users.

Are you new to MSU and have a financial role?  Are you new to a financial role and have questions, but don’t know where to start?

This course will introduce the resources available to you to begin a successful role in financial duties, including:

  1. What tasks do we perform in MSU’s financial system (called KFS)?
  2. What access to KFS do I need?
  3. How do I get access to KFS?
  4. What other basic access do I need?
  5. What are MSU’s business policies and where do I find them?
  6. Where are self-training tools to introduce me to KFS?
  7. What processes or best practices could/should I be using?
  8. What reports can help me analyze my accounts?

To register, log in to the EBS Portal, click on the "My Career and Training" tab (top of window), and then click on the "Courses for Employees at MSU" tile.  Next, enter "Onboarding" in the search box on the left side of the screen, and click "Go".  Select "EBS Financial System-Roles/Onboarding" and register for one of the sessions.
